What Is Farkle?

Farkle is a fast-paced dice game of risk and reward where players roll six dice trying to score as many points as possible without rolling a Farkle.

On your turn, roll all six dice. Set aside any that score, then decide to roll the rest or bank your points. Roll nothing that scores and it's a Farkle — your turn ends and you score nothing.

Farkle FAQ

How do you play Farkle?
Roll all six dice, set aside at least one scoring die, then either bank your points or re-roll the remaining dice for more. If a roll has no scoring dice, you Farkle and lose the turn's points.
How many dice do you need?
Farkle uses six standard six-sided dice. If all six dice score in a turn, you get "hot dice" and roll all six again.
What is a Farkle?
A Farkle happens when a roll produces no scoring dice. You lose all points accumulated during that turn and play passes to the next player.
What score wins the game?
The first player to bank 10,000 or more points wins. Many house rules give every other player one final turn to try to overtake them.
Can I print a score sheet?
Yes — a free printable Farkle score sheet supports up to 8 players and tracks every round. Look for the Score Sheet link in the navigation.
